boom town: a town that grows and quickly becomes wealthy

bullion: a bar of gold before it is coined into money

gang plank: a bridge used from a pier to a boat

generator: apparatus for producing gas or steam

geologist: a person who studies the earth and rock formations

 

heritage: the culture, property, and characteristics of past times

hierarchy: a system of persons ordered by class -middle-class, upper-class

integrity: honesty, virtue

igneous rocks: rocks produced by volcanic action
