Hill Meat Market

This building was constructed in 1935 by Harry Joyce, and managed by Lionel North. As the name suggests, it was originally a butcher shop. It was restored from near collapse in 1987 by Island Mountain Arts for use as their office and Art Gallery.

The building now houses Island Mountain Gallery which features monthly exhibitions, a gift shop and office space. Special events like concerts and coffeehouses are enjoyed by both the locals and visitors to Wells.
